Link insertions into pages that already rank on their own

An insertion is only worth buying when the host page would keep its traffic if your link were pulled out tomorrow. We reject roughly four in five pages offered to us, and the reason is almost always the same: the page was built to hold links. Published thirty months ago, never touched since, six or more outbound commercial links already in the body, and no internal link pointing at it from anywhere on its own site. How we pick a page: We start from the query, not the domain. The page has to rank in the top twenty for something a person actually searches, and it has to have held that position across at least two quarters. A page that spiked once on a news cycle is a page whose position is about to go. We check that it is linked from the site's own navigation or a hub, that its publication date has not been rewritten to fake freshness, and that the paragraph we want sits in the main content rather than a sources appendix or a sidebar block. Then we fetch the raw HTML and confirm the existing outbound links are in the served markup and not injected by script after load. What we give the editor: An insertion is a rewrite, not a favour. We take the passage around the intended link and improve it: a stale figure replaced with the current one and sourced, a paragraph rebuilt where the regulation it describes has changed, a dead reference repaired. The editor ends up with a page better than the one they had, and the citation is what makes the update credible. That is why our approaches get accepted and why the links stay up. The history check: Wayback's CDX index tells you what a rate card will not. We pull every capture of the candidate page and diff the outbound link graph across them. A page that gained a commercial link every few months and lost them again is link inventory wearing an editorial costume. We walk away from those, and we send you the diff so you can see the reasoning rather than take it on trust. Attribution and disclosure: Where the insertion is paid, it carries the attribution the jurisdiction and the publisher's own policy require. In gambling and consumer credit contexts that often means the page needs a disclosure line it does not currently have, which becomes part of what we negotiate. We do not buy a followed link by concealing that money changed hands, and we will not ask a publisher to do it either. Term and replacement: Every placement is re-crawled monthly for twelve months. If a link is removed, switched to nofollow, or the host page falls out of the index inside that window, we replace it once on a page of equal standing or credit the fee. The re-crawl log is yours, failures included. Not included: New articles, which are the placement engagement; mixing the two on one invoice hides which of them is working. No insertions on pages where we cannot reach an editor. No insertions into a competitor's comparison table or best-of list, because those positions are set by commercial agreement and buying into them is a different negotiation, one we do not run. Not for you if: You want a fixed number of insertions per month at a fixed unit price. Unit pricing pushes any shop toward the pages that are cheapest to buy, which are exactly the pages this practice exists to turn down.
