Decision rights, page-type standards and pre-publish gates for search work that must clear medical, legal or compliance review before it ships.

About this service

Enterprise search programmes rarely stall on ideas. They stall between the recommendation and the published page. Across the last four in-house programmes we took over, the median age of an open SEO ticket was 114 days, and in every one the block was an approval nobody owned rather than an engineer with no time. Governance is the design of that queue: who may change what, on whose signature, and what gets checked before anything ships. Where we start: Ticket archaeology. We export eighteen months of closed and open search work from your tracker and classify each item by what actually held it up, engineering capacity, legal review, medical review, brand, a missing decision, or nobody assigned. That classification usually ends the internal argument, because it replaces opinion about the bottleneck with a count. The decision-rights matrix: Every recurring change type is sorted into one of three lanes. Ships without review: internal link modules, metadata on pages carrying no claim, structured data, redirect maintenance. Ships on one named signature: titles carrying product or indication language, new hub pages, template changes that alter rendered copy. Ships only through full medical-legal or compliance review: anything asserting efficacy, safety, performance, return or eligibility. The matrix is signed by the people who hold each veto. An unsigned matrix is a document, not governance. Pre-publish gates: We put the checks where your content already moves rather than in a tool nobody opens. A gate in Jira or Asana that will not let a content ticket close without the four fields your reviewers always ask for. A check against the staging build for the failure modes that recur in your particular CMS: canonicals pointing at staging hosts, hreflang clusters missing return tags, indexable filter permutations, orphaned templates surviving a release. We write those against your build, not from a generic list. Standards per page type: One written page for each template your team ships. What the page is for, the single query intent it answers, what must be on it, what must never be, who reviews it, and the condition under which it should be removed. Product pages, clinical information pages, regulated disclosure pages and editorial articles each get their own, because they fail in different ways. Measurement that survives a reorganisation: Search Console property architecture aligned to ownership boundaries, so a market lead sees only what they can act on. A quarterly review format that reports the queue as well as the rankings: how many changes shipped, how long each lane took, which lane is now the constraint. What we do not do: We do not implement. We do not write your content, run your migration, or act as reviewer of record for a medical, financial or safety claim. That signature belongs to someone employed by you and accountable to your regulator. We do not attend weekly stand-ups as an extra pair of hands. Who this is not for: Teams whose real problem is that nothing is published yet; governance on an empty site is theatre. Companies where nobody can approve a title tag change. If the answer to who signs this off is that it depends, we will say so on the first call and decline rather than bill for six weeks of discovering it. And anyone who wants an audit deck. This engagement ends with a signed operating model and gates running in your own tools, or it has not ended. We work in English and Polish, and we read KNF and URPL guidance in the original rather than in translated summary, which matters when the exact wording of a permitted claim is the entire question.
