Story-led outreach to Nordic, UK and German trade press, built from your operating data. Coverage first, links as a consequence. Nothing paid to a publisher.
About this service
A campaign here lands between four and eleven linking root domains from named publications over roughly ten weeks, and most individual pitches get no reply. That is the shape of press outreach when nothing is paid to the publisher. Anyone quoting a fixed number of links per month is buying placements and calling it PR.
The bottleneck is never outreach volume. It is having a reason for a journalist to write. Most brands I work with already have one and have never recognised it, because it sits in the operations data rather than the marketing plan: returns by size on a size chart that quietly drifted two centimetres over six years, sell-through on a colourway everyone in the building expected to fail, what a supplier change did to lead times, the resale price a discontinued jacket holds three years later.
Where the pitches go:
Nordic trade first, because a Swedish or Danish brand is a legitimate subject there rather than a foreign press release, and because a trade desk verifies a claim in a day. Habit, Market, Dagens Handel, Breakit, Di Digital, Dagens Media. Then European and UK trade where the angle travels: Drapers, TextilWirtschaft, RetailDetail, Cosmetics Business, BeautyMatter. Then business and consumer titles only when the finding earns them: Vogue Business, Business of Fashion, Modern Retail, Glossy. The list is built by reading twelve months of bylines. A journalist who has not written about this subject in the past year does not get the pitch.
The mechanics:
One story per campaign. Pitches go out in waves of around fifteen, each rewritten for the recipient, with the finding and the number in the first line rather than the third paragraph. Embargo where the outlet wants exclusivity, and I honour it even when a second title asks. A named spokesperson available for a call inside 48 hours. A newsroom page with high-resolution imagery and explicit usage terms, so the picture desk does not strip the credit line.
If the story is not landing, you hear it in week five, not week ten. Forty of the right journalists ignoring a pitch is an answer: the story was not one, and we change the angle or stop.
Not included:
No paid placements, sponsored posts, guest articles or link insertions. No writing the piece on the journalist's behalf. No anchor text specified to a newsroom, which is how a working relationship becomes a single transaction. No press release wire, which produces one story on many syndicated domains and reads to a search engine as exactly what it is.
Who should not buy this:
Brands whose only news is a discount or a new colourway. Brands where nobody will go on record under their own name, because a quote from an unnamed spokesperson is not usable. Brands that need coverage by a fixed date for a raise or a board meeting; the press does not work to your calendar and I will not pretend it does. Brands whose legal team needs a week to approve a sentence.
How it is measured:
A coverage log with publication, date, URL, link status and whether the piece sent referral sessions in GA4. Nofollow and unlinked coverage is counted separately and reported honestly, because it still ties the brand to the subject in the systems that now answer questions directly. Ranking movement on the commercial terms is reported at 90 and 180 days, which is when it shows, and it depends on your site as much as on anything I do. If your product pages are thin and your internal linking is broken, links will not fix that and I will say so at the intake call rather than at the debrief.
