Six episodes built on access nobody else has, produced to broadcast spec, judged on consumption curves rather than downloads or chart position.

About this service

A branded series is worth making when you hold access somebody else cannot get: the people inside your company or your customers' companies who will talk to you and would not talk to a journalist. Six episodes, twenty-four to thirty minutes. If the access is ordinary, the series will be ordinary, and no production budget fixes that. When a branded series is worth making: Three things have to be true. There is a subject your buyers argue about internally, so there is something to say rather than something to announce. There is a person on your side willing to host across all six episodes and be present at every record, because a rotating cast of executives never becomes a show. And there is a distribution plan with money behind it, since organic discovery of a new branded feed is close to zero and a series nobody hears is an expensive internal document. How it is produced: Every guest gets a recorded pre-interview of about thirty minutes, before any script exists. That conversation is where the actual episode is found, and it is never broadcast. Recording is local at 48 kHz with an isolated track per speaker, through Riverside or Zencastr for remote guests, so a dropped connection costs a re-upload rather than a re-record. Masters run to minus 16 LUFS integrated in stereo, minus 19 mono, minus 1 dBTP ceiling. Transcripts with speaker labels ship with every episode, for accessibility and because they are the only part of a podcast a search engine or an answer engine can read. Chapter markers on every file. The feed is hosted on Megaphone or Acast under your own domain, so the RSS, the subscriber base and the download data belong to you and not to the producer, which is where a surprising number of branded series quietly go wrong at contract renewal. What we measure: Consumption curves from Spotify for Podcasters and Apple Podcasts Connect, not downloads. An episode holding above 75 percent average consumption at twenty-six minutes is working. Below 55 percent, the format is wrong rather than the promotion, and we will tell you that after episode two, not after episode six when the budget is spent. We look at where the curve falls, because a cliff at four minutes is an opening problem and a slow decline from twelve is a length problem, and they have different fixes. Editorial control: Guests are chosen on editorial fit. Your product is mentioned in the outro, once, and we will not write a question whose only function is to set up an answer about your product, because the audience recognises it immediately and stops trusting everything that follows. You approve the guest list and the subject of each episode. You do not approve the questions. If that arrangement is not workable inside your organisation, this is not the right piece of work and it is better to know now. We decline: Chart position promises. Series longer than eight episodes on a first commitment, because you will know by episode three whether the format holds and a twelve-episode contract removes the option to stop. Episodes that are a product demonstration with an interviewer attached. A series with no named host from your side. Anonymous ghost-production where our name is nowhere and the editorial calls are made by a marketing committee after the record. The deliverable is a finished feed: mastered episodes, transcripts, artwork specification, show notes written to be read rather than to carry keywords, and a consumption report per episode with a recommendation on whether to make the next six.
