Influencer and Creator Marketing · YouTube integration segment

Sixty to ninety second integrations placed inside the video's own subject, negotiated for retention-graph access and judged on the dip.

About this service

The segment runs 60 to 90 seconds, sits after the video has proven itself to the viewer rather than before, and is the only creator format where you can watch the audience decide in real time. YouTube Studio's audience retention graph shows the dip second by second. A segment built into the video's own subject typically loses 5 to 12 percent of viewers across its length. A segment that arrives as an unrelated block loses a third, and you paid the same for both. Access to the graph: This is negotiated before the placement, not requested after it. The deliverable includes the retention curve for the segment window, either as a Studio screenshot with timestamps visible or through temporary read access to that video's analytics. A creator unwilling to share the curve for a segment you paid for is telling you something, and it is worth hearing at negotiation rather than at renewal. Views and comments tell you about the video. The curve tells you about your 90 seconds. How the segment is built: The integration attaches to something the video is already doing. A handoff sentence written by the creator, in their own construction, that makes the subject change feel like part of the argument rather than an interruption. The claim set from the brief. One call to action, spoken once, with the link in the description and in a pinned comment because the description is collapsed on mobile. And a return sentence, which almost nobody writes and which is where the recovery in the curve comes from. What gets skipped: A chapter marker labelled as sponsorship is an instruction to skip, and SponsorBlock users will have it removed automatically whether you label it or not. So the segment is not built as a removable block. That does not mean hiding the relationship: the paid promotion disclosure is set in YouTube's own upload settings, and the creator says it out loud at the top of the segment. Disclosed and integrated are not opposites. A pre-roll read at fifteen seconds, before the video has earned anything, is the arrangement I most often argue clients out of. Regulated products and apps: For health products the segment carries the sourced claim set and the risk information where the market requires it, which changes the length arithmetic and needs to be settled before the rate is agreed rather than after. For an app the call to action names the deep link and the segment shows only what exists in the shipping build, since the fastest way to poison a channel's audience is a demonstrated feature they cannot find after installing. What I will not do: Write the segment for the creator. Ask for a specific number of mentions. Buy a dedicated video where an integration would perform better, which is most of the time, and I will say so even when a dedicated video is what has been budgeted. Or place a second integration on a channel inside six weeks, because the audience notices frequency faster than any brand believes. Not for you if: You want the segment at the front. You need it approved line by line. Or your timeline is short: integrations book four to eight weeks out on channels worth being on, and a channel with immediate availability is usually available for a reason. Delivery: Channel selection with the reasoning, including the channels I ruled out and why. Rate negotiation and terms, with usage rights and any paid amplification priced separately. The constraint brief for the segment. Placement negotiation inside the video. Retention-graph access secured in the agreement. Then the read: the curve, the dip, what the handoff did, and a stated recommendation on whether to buy this channel again.
