A programme aimed at six to twelve URLs a year, paced to what those pages can absorb, with a quarterly call on whether it still earns its cost.

About this service

A programme we run points links at six to twelve URLs over a year. Everything else on your site gets none, deliberately. The decision that matters here is not where links come from but which pages deserve them, and the failure we are most often called in to correct is a year of links spread evenly across forty blog posts, none of which sat close enough to page one for any of it to move. How the targets get chosen: We take the queries where you rank between five and fifteen, cross them against the pages your sales team says are in the room when deals close, and read what the pages above you are actually held up by. Where a top-three result rests on twelve referring domains, that is a page we can move. Where it rests on a Reddit thread and a decade of brand searches, we say the target is not winnable with links and propose a different page or a different query. Some quarters that conversation ends with us recommending the budget goes to your documentation instead. Pacing: Links arrive in the order pages can absorb them. A page published last month gets nothing until it has been indexed and settled into a position we can measure against. We do not front-load a quarter so a report looks busy, and we do not run at a rate that would look strange for a company your size with your news volume. What the programme actually contains: Placement and insertion work, digital PR where you hold data worth publishing, and the unglamorous half: reclaiming unlinked brand mentions, repointing links that hit 404s or an old domain, and getting existing partners, customers and integration directories to link properly. That last category costs the least and gets skipped by nearly everyone, because it does not photograph well in a monthly report. Working alongside your other vendors: If another firm is building links for you, we will read their output and tell you plainly what we think of it. We have ended engagements where a client kept a parallel programme buying from a network. The two do not mix and we will not have our work sitting in that profile. Reporting: Monthly: what went live, what was rejected and why, what moved for the targeted URLs and what did not. Quarterly: whether the programme still earns its cost. We have twice told a client to stop and take a quarter off, and both times it was in the report rather than in an answer to a question. What we refuse: Anchor text ratios set by spreadsheet. Guaranteed counts. Per-link pricing, which hands the volume decision to the party being paid for volume. Reciprocal and three-way exchanges. Sectors we do not read: this practice covers B2B software, fintech and developer tooling, and we are the wrong firm for consumer retail or local services. Not included: On-page work, content strategy beyond the assets that need to exist for links to be earnable, and technical SEO. When one of those is the reason the links are not working we will say so in the monthly report, in writing, and we still will not do it. Who this is not for: Teams where links are not yet the constraint, which below roughly eight thousand euro a month of total search investment is usually the case. Companies that need individual links attributed to revenue. Anyone who wants the programme to start before the target pages exist.
