Search Advertising (PPC / SEM) · Seznam Sklik

Czech search buying on Sklik built from declined Czech keyword forms and a real Zbozi.cz feed, never from a Google Ads import.

About this service

Seznam has fallen to roughly a quarter of Czech search from about half of it a decade ago, and that decline is an argument for buying it carefully rather than for skipping it. The share that stayed skews older and more desktop-bound, and in the accounts we run it costs between a third and a half of what the same query costs on Google in Czechia. The trap is that Sklik makes importing a Google Ads account easy, and an imported account buys Czech in the nominative case only. Czech grammar is the account structure: Czech declines nouns and adjectives across seven cases, and buyers type all of them. Running shoes is bezecke boty in a headline, bezeckych bot in a large share of the queries that end in a sale, and bezecke boty panske in the ones with money behind them. Sklik does not normalise these for you the way you have been trained to expect. Each commercial term is therefore built out by case, and again without diacritics, because typing bezecke boty on a keyboard set to English is normal behaviour and carries real volume. This is precisely why the import path fails: it produces a keyword list that is grammatically correct and commercially deaf. Zbozi.cz: If you sell physical product, the shopping feed usually earns more than the text ads, and it takes its own XML format rather than your Google Merchant file. Feeds we accept need EAN codes, Czech titles written the way Czechs search rather than translated from your English catalogue, and stock and delivery fields that are true. We will fix mapping and structure. We will not invent missing product data, and we will not run the channel on optimistic stock. Placement and bidding: Sklik puts you across Seznam's own properties, Novinky.cz, Sport.cz and Email.cz among them, plus partner sites. Search and content get separated on day one because they behave nothing alike and averaging them hides both. Sklik's automated bidding wants conversion volume that a Czech-only account rarely reaches; under a few hundred conversions a month, manual CPC reviewed weekly beats it. We keep bids manual until the data says otherwise, and we move to automation when it does rather than defending manual work as diligence. The first month: Week one is measurement, the Sklik conversion and retargeting code checked against your analytics rather than assumed. Weeks two and three are the declension build and the negative structure. Week four is the first query harvest, which on a Czech account is where most of the early savings live. Not included: Firmy.cz listing management, Heureka, Czech copywriting beyond ad text, and Sklik display sold as its own channel. We also do not run Google Ads in Czechia alongside this. If you want one agency holding both, we are the wrong choice and will say so on the first call. Not for you if: You have no CZK price, no Czech delivery option and no Czech-language checkout. Sklik will deliver qualified traffic directly into whichever is missing and the account will look like a targeting failure. Also not for you if the budget cannot carry the work: below roughly eight thousand euros a month in Sklik spend, the sensible shape of this is the first package once, then your own team running what we hand over. Reporting: Monthly in English or Italian, search and shopping reported separately, with the query harvest attached so you can check what we decided to stop buying and why.
