Rewriting Pages So a Single Passage Can Be Quoted Alone

Existing pages rebuilt so the answer sits at the top of a retrievable chunk, verified by running the retrieval test after the edit.

About this service

The unit that gets cited is a passage, not a page. Retrieval systems cut a document into chunks of a few hundred tokens and score each chunk on its own, so a two-thousand-word guide that answers the question in its ninth paragraph loses to a three-hundred-word page that answers it in its first. Most of this work is moving the answer to the top of a chunk and making that chunk survive being read alone. What survives chunking: A paragraph that opens with this means that is dead the moment it is separated from the paragraph above it. So every H2 states the question in the words people use. The sentence underneath answers it and names the subject rather than pointing back at it with a pronoun. Figures carry their unit, their date and their source inside the same sentence, because the sentence is what travels. Comparisons go into tables, which get lifted whole more often than prose does. Each term a reader might be searching gets one plain definition sentence somewhere on the page. None of that is styling, and we do not ask you to take it on faith. After the rewrite we put the target questions through a retrieval step and look at which chunk of the page comes back. If it is the wrong chunk, we edit again. That test, not a word count, is what says a page is finished. Which pages: Existing ones that already earn impressions, usually twelve to twenty-five of them, chosen from Search Console at page level. Pages ranking four to twenty for question-shaped queries move first. We do not rewrite pages with no impressions, because nothing is retrieving them either and a rewrite will not change that. Health: Structure is the easy half. What decides citation for a clinical question is whether the page carries a named author with a registration number, a review date, and claims the practice can evidence. We will not write the superlatives the National Law prohibits, and we will not soften a therapeutic claim into an implication, because the implication is regulated too. If your practitioners will not put their names on the pages, say so at the start; it changes what the engagement can achieve. Property: Suburb and market-update pages earn citation only when they carry figures that change and say where they came from. Median, days on market, clearance rate, source and month. A suburb page with no dated figure is an opinion, and the assistant will prefer the portal, correctly. Local services: Price ranges stated as ranges, service areas written as a list of suburbs rather than a radius, hours and after-hours behaviour stated as fact. Assistants answer these questions constantly and most sites make them unanswerable. What we do not do: We do not bolt on FAQ blocks to hit a schema target; a question invented to hold an answer is obvious to a reader and does nothing in retrieval. We do not increase page count or write new topic pages here. If the brief is two hundred generated suburb pages, we are the wrong shop, because that is a programmatic build and it needs an engineer more than an editor. What comes back: Rewritten copy as drafts in your CMS or as documents, a structure specification short enough that your writers will actually use it on the next fifty pages, the before and after retrieval test for each page, and sixty days of Search Console monitoring on everything we touched. Who this is not for: Teams where every sentence clears a national brand review on a six-week cycle. The rewrite will take a year and cost more of your time than of ours. Tell us at the start and we will scope one page as a pilot instead, so the process gets tested before the budget does.
