Two people, three hours, thirty answers minimum, moderators asked in advance, and Conversation Placement built from the thread afterwards.
About this service
An AMA is not a media buy. It is a named person from your company sitting in a thread for three hours answering whatever arrives, and the only version that works is the one where that person is senior enough to say something their marketing team would have edited out. We staff two people for the first three hours, require answers to at least the first thirty questions, and will not book a date until the person answering has confirmed it in their own calendar. Conversation Placement ads run around that thread and after it.
Before anything is booked:
Moderator outreach in writing, to the specific subreddits, asking permission and accepting the answer. Most brand AMAs fail at this step and get removed within the hour, which is the expensive kind of failure because the removal itself becomes the story. We prepare proof of identity in whatever form the subreddit's rules demand, and we read those rules rather than assuming they match the last community we worked in.
We also run a pre-mortem: the twenty questions you do not want, written out, with the answer you will actually give. For beauty and supplement clients that includes the ingredient-efficacy questions and the manufacturing questions, cleared with whoever signs off on claims, so nobody is improvising a regulated statement live in front of an audience that screenshots things.
During:
A triage rule set the answering team can follow without checking in. Which questions get answered first, which get a short honest no, which go to a named person by direct message, and the one category that gets nothing. An abort condition agreed in advance, expressed as a downvote and sentiment threshold, so the decision to stop is made by a rule written on a calm morning rather than by three people panicking in a group chat.
Conversation Placement is the slot between comments, the highest-intent and least forgiving position on the platform. Creative there is written to be read mid-argument by somebody already deep in a thread, and it is a different piece of writing from anything that works in the feed.
After:
The thread itself becomes creative. The strongest answers get promoted as posts, usually the cheapest inventory in the whole engagement because the copy has already been tested by hostile readers. We also hand you the transcript marked up for the product team, since three hours of unfiltered questions from buyers is a research artefact your research budget does not otherwise produce.
What we refuse:
Sock puppets, vote manipulation, seeded questions presented as organic, and comments from employee accounts without disclosure. These break Reddit's rules and ours, and the failure mode is not a warning, it is a screenshot thread that outranks your brand name. We also decline to run an AMA for a brand with a live, unanswered complaint thread. Answer that first, publicly, then book us.
Not included:
Ongoing subreddit moderation, community management outside the engagement window, and the campaign build itself, which is separate work. We do not write your executive's answers for them during the session. We prepare them, we sit beside them, we do not type as them.
Who this is not for:
Companies where the person with the answers cannot be in a chair for three hours, and companies who want a rehearsal script. A thread that reads as rehearsed is worse than no thread at all. If your legal position is that no employee may speak without pre-approved wording, we can still run Conversation Placement for you, but the AMA half of this should not be bought.
