Powerlink, Shopping Search and Brand Search on Naver, opened only after we read what the Korean results page shows underneath your ad.

About this service

We read the Korean results page before we quote for the account, and roughly a third of the time we tell the brand not to buy ads yet. On a Naver mobile result the paid Powerlink block sits above the blog, VIEW and cafe modules, and Korean buyers scroll straight past your ad into them to check what other people say about you. If those modules return nothing in Korean about your brand, the click is paid for and the visit ends inside somebody else's blog post. Content first, then the account. Access, and what we will not do to get it: A Naver Search Ads account requires a Korean business registration number. Foreign advertisers run through their own Korean entity or a licensed representative, and we set up under whichever you have. We do not open accounts under an individual's registration, including a Korean employee's, which is a common shortcut that puts both the account and the person at risk. Where an account was already opened that way, we unwind it before we manage it. Powerlink, and the first six weeks: Position on Naver is bid against a quality index that has to be earned, so a new account pays more per click than a mature one for the same position, and that gap closes over roughly six weeks. We say this before launch because it is the number that makes month one look wrong. We manage position on the economics of each rank rather than defaulting to the top: on many Korean commercial queries the second and third slots convert at a similar rate for materially less, and first place is worth holding on brand and on a short list of queries where the drop-off is genuinely sharp. The rest of the inventory: Shopping Search ads where a product feed exists, which for a Smartstore is the shortest path to measurable revenue. Place ads for physical locations. Brand Search is a fixed monthly fee priced from your own brand's search volume, which makes it a sound buy when people already search your name and a poor one when they do not. We check the volume before recommending it and we have talked clients out of it more often than into it. Measurement: Naver's own conversion script and GA4, both, deliberately. They disagree, and the disagreement is information rather than a fault: buying decisions are made on Naver's figures because that is what the platform optimises against, with GA4 as the check on what actually reached the site. Naver Pay and Smartstore conversions imported where the store lives there. Not included: Kakao, Coupang Ads and Google in Korea. Blog, cafe and VIEW content production. Influencer and review seeding, and we want to be plain about this one: we do not buy blog reviews or arrange them through a third party. It breaches Naver's policy and Korean disclosure rules, detection has improved, and the brand carries the penalty rather than the agency that arranged it. Korean site translation and localisation. Who this is not for: Brands with no Korean-language site or store. Brands who want the review ecosystem handled quietly on their behalf. And advertisers expecting Google-scale volume: Naver's search inventory is finite, an account reaches its ceiling faster than a Google account does, and beyond that point more budget simply buys worse clicks. If the plan requires Korea to absorb a large monthly number through search alone, the plan needs changing before the account does.
