A hand-collected read of what three competitors actually run in the Gulf, including the aggregator and licensed placements no ad library indexes.

About this service

Meta's Ad Library and Google's Ads Transparency Center will show you about half of what a competitor runs in the Gulf. The half they miss is the half that decides your quarter: sponsored placement inside Talabat, Deliveroo, HungerStation and Jahez, Snapchat creative that enters no public archive, TikTok ads outside the European Union where the Commercial Content Library does not reach, X and Telegram placements bought through local media houses, and influencer work licensed through the UAE Media Council. That half has to be collected by hand. This report is that hand collection, on competitors you name, in markets you name. The read you get: One document that says what each competitor is spending against, what they have quietly stopped doing, and what they are most likely to do next quarter. Every claim carries its source and the date it was collected. Where I am inferring rather than observing, the sentence says so, not a footnote at the back. Creative is read in the language it ran in. A Khaleeji-dialect Snap ad and its Modern Standard Arabic counterpart are two different offers aimed at two different people, and translating both into English erases the only thing worth knowing about them. Arabic creative is transcribed and analysed in Arabic, then explained to you in English. How the collection works: Ad libraries first, for what they genuinely cover. Then app-side collection: fresh device profiles in each market, ordering behaviour built up over several days so that aggregator ranking and sponsored slots surface the way they do for a real customer, with timestamped capture of each placement. Then the paid layer nobody archives, which mostly means asking the media houses and the aggregator sales teams for rate cards, because in this region they will usually send them. Then the regulatory record: virtual asset marketing filed under the VARA rulebook, fundraising permits, influencer licences. Who is permitted to say what is often a better predictor of a competitor's next campaign than anything visible in their current creative. What this will not tell you: Exact spend. Anyone selling you a competitor's Gulf media budget to two decimal places is selling you a model output in a confident font. You get ranges with the assumptions written out, and a note saying which end of the range I would plan against. It will not tell you whether to copy them. That is the next conversation, and the answer is often no. The single most common finding in this work is that the loudest advertiser in a Gulf category is buying volume at a price the client should be relieved not to be paying. It does not include your own account. If you want your side diagnosed as well, that is the growth audit; running both inside one document tends to produce a report that argues with itself. Not for: Anyone who needs it this week. The aggregator work alone takes ten days of accumulated device behaviour and cannot be compressed without becoming guesswork. Anyone who wants a monitoring dashboard. This is a judgement, delivered once, by a person. A dashboard would be a worse version of it that nobody opens after week three. Anyone in a category whose regulator I do not already know. I take food and beverage, virtual assets, nonprofit fundraising and marketplaces in the GCC. Everything else I decline rather than learn on your budget. The document closes with three things I would do differently from all of them, and the one thing they have all understood that you have not.

  3. 3Which of your own channels are live now, and at roughly what monthly spend?
