Spark Ads and Partnership Ads Permission Architecture
Influencer and Creator Marketing · Spark Ads / Partnership Ads whitelisting setup
A permission register with an expiry on every line: TikTok ad authorisations and Meta partnership ads held at account level, in your Business Center.
About this service
What you receive is a permission register: one line per creator per platform, carrying the authorisation code, the window it runs for, the expiry date and the named person on your side who has to ask for it again. We set every window to the longest the platform offers, and we diary each expiry twenty-one days ahead. The failure that costs money is never a missing permission, which somebody notices immediately. It is a permission that lapses mid-flight during a peak trading week.
TikTok:
Spark Ads run on the creator's own post, which is exactly why they outperform a plain in-feed upload and exactly why they are fragile. The engagement stays attached to the original video. If the creator deletes it, switches the account to private or changes region, delivery stops and Ads Manager does not tell you why. Where a creator will grant it, we take account-level authorisation into your Business Center so future posts can be run without reopening the negotiation. Where they will not, we set per-post codes at the 365-day duration rather than the seven-day one. A creator who insists on a seven-day window is telling you something about the relationship, and we will pass that on.
Meta:
Partnership ads need the creator on a professional account and the permission granted to your business rather than to an individual. We take it at account level so it survives their next post, and we register the handle pairing so the ad runs with the creator as the visible voice rather than as a brand upload with a person in it. Where the plan calls for a video that never existed organically, we build it as a partnership ad from the start rather than asking a creator to put something on their grid they did not want there.
Where these setups break:
Handle changes. A creator reverting from a professional account to a personal one, which removes eligibility without notice. Two-factor lockouts on an account for which nobody at the client holds a second contact. Agency staff leaving with the only working relationship in their head. Every one of these sits in the register against a named owner on your side, because a permission structure only the agency understands is a dependency rather than a service.
Regulated accounts:
Gambling advertisers need the platform's written permission for the jurisdiction before any of this is worth building, and the creator's organic post still has to satisfy the ASA on their own channel even where the paid targeting is correct. We check audience age composition before requesting authorisation rather than after, because withdrawing a live Spark Ad is a conversation nobody enjoys having twice.
Not included:
Media buying. Creative production. Negotiating the underlying usage licence, which belongs at contract stage and is separate work. Restructuring who owns your Business Manager, which is also separate and is usually more urgent than clients expect when we open the account. If it is, we will tell you in the first week and you can decide the order.
Who should not buy this:
Anyone running fewer than about six creators at once. Below that the register is overhead and you should be handling permissions by hand and reading the expiry dates yourself. Anyone whose creators come through a marketplace that mediates contact, because you cannot hold a permission you are not allowed to discuss with its holder. And anyone who wants the authorisations held inside our Business Center so they move with the agency rather than with the brand. That is the arrangement this practice exists to argue against, and we will not build it for you.
