Buying the forty crypto properties that convert and refusing the widget farms behind them, measured on wallet connects and KYC rather than signups.

About this service

Coinzilla, Bitmedia and AdEx will each sell you a crypto audience. On a typical unfiltered run, most of the spend lands on the same forty or so price, news and portfolio properties, and the remainder disappears into widget embeds, airdrop aggregators and calendar sites that convert at a rate indistinguishable from zero. The work is deciding which forty, buying them deliberately, and refusing the tail permanently rather than pruning it every month. Start with what makes the campaign legal, because in this vertical that determines the media plan rather than following it. MiCA's marketing communication rules have applied across the EU since 30 December 2024: marketing must be identifiable as marketing, fair, clear and not misleading, and consistent with the whitepaper. The UK regime is stricter and older — since 8 October 2023, cryptoasset financial promotions to UK consumers must be approved by an FCA-authorised person, with a 24-hour cooling-off period for first-time investors and a ban on refer-a-friend incentives. Most crypto networks will happily serve your ad into the UK anyway. I geo-exclude the UK by default and only reopen it when you can name the authorised approver and show me the approved copy. What I buy: named placements on the properties where a reader arrives with intent, bought through the networks where that is possible and direct where the publisher will deal, day-parted to US and European market hours because sentiment traffic is worthless at 3am local. Retargeting keyed to wallet-connect events rather than pageviews. Sponsored placement on the two or three research and data properties your audience actually reads, priced as a fixed slot rather than by impression, because a fixed slot is the one arrangement where the seller cannot inflate the number they invoice you for. What I skip entirely: price-widget networks, airdrop and faucet aggregators, Telegram-channel resale, anything sold as a bundle where the publisher list is only visible after signing, and any inventory where the network reports the conversion. Bitmedia's own fraud filtering is decent; it is still the seller marking its own homework, and it is not the basis on which I will let you pay. Measurement is the part most crypto teams get wrong. Signups are not a metric here — a wallet address costs nothing to create and the incentive economy in this vertical produces them at industrial volume. I instrument three events on your side: wallet connect, first funded deposit, and KYC completion where the product requires it. Cost per KYC-completed user is the number that appears in my reporting. It is much larger than the number your network dashboard shows and it is the one you can put in front of a board. Refusals, stated plainly: No token presales or launch campaigns. No yield or lending products without a licence in the market being targeted. No creative containing a return figure, projected or historical, presented as an expectation. No meme-coin launches. No promotion into the UK without a named FCA-authorised approver. No engagement where marketing sits downstream of a legal review that has not happened yet. Who this is not for: Exchanges and protocols wanting reach numbers for a fundraise deck. Teams whose growth model depends on incentivised signups, since this channel will look terrible against that metric and should. Anyone who needs to be live next week — the geo-and-copy compliance pass alone takes longer than that, and shipping ahead of it is how a campaign gets pulled mid-flight along with the account behind it.

What the seller needs from you

  1. 1Which markets are you targeting, and do you hold the licences or approvals those markets require?
  2. 2What events can your product report server-side — wallet connect, funded deposit, KYC completion?
  3. 3Has legal reviewed the ad copy and landing page, and who signs off on changes?
  4. 4What are you selling and what is the average first deposit?
  5. 5Which networks and publishers have you already run, and what did they cost per funded user?

Asked at checkout. Delivery time starts once you answer, not when you pay.
