Margin model, program terms and verified tracking first; recruitment starts in week eight and the first commission is paid around week eleven.

About this service

A program built properly pays its first commission around week eleven. Seven of those weeks happen before we approach a single partner, and that is the part most launches skip. What happens before recruitment: The rate comes out of your contribution margin after returns and payment fees, not out of a benchmark table for your category. So the first thing we ask for is margin by product group or, for lead generation, your lead-to-sale rate and the time between the two. If nobody at your company can produce that number, the launch stops until they can. We have paused two launches on exactly this and both clients were better off for it. Then the rules that are painful to add later: the brand bidding policy and how it will actually be enforced, the de-duplication rule against paid search and email, the validation window, and the clawback period set from your real return curve. A kids subscription box with heavy first-month cancellation needs a sixty-day hold. An automotive test-drive lead holds until the dealership confirms the appointment, which can be six weeks. Tracking is verified with real transactions before anything opens: one full order, one partial refund, one cancellation, one order in Safari with ITP active and consent declined, and one order placed on mobile after a click three days earlier. If any of those five fail to reconcile against your order table, we do not open applications. The weeks and what they contain: Weeks one to three, the margin work, program terms, partner-type tiering, and the network or self-hosted decision. Weeks four to seven, the tracking build and the five test transactions, creative and product feed, partner-facing documentation, and an approval standard written down before applications arrive. Weeks eight to fourteen, recruitment of the content layer only, first payouts, and the first reconciliation against your finance export. What we refuse: We do not open a program to cashback, voucher and browser-extension partners in the first quarter. They will produce revenue in week two, most of it from orders you already had, and that number then becomes the baseline the program is measured against forever. The content partners never get funded after that. Coupon partners are admitted when there is something honest to measure them against. For gaming clients: no key resellers, no incentivised installs, no cheat, trainer or account-trading sites. For kids and family: no creator partner without a disclosure practice, and no program design resting on cookie-based profiling of an audience below fifteen, the digital consent age in Czechia. For automotive: no lead brokers selling the same enquiry four times. Czech and EU mechanics we set up: Czech affiliates are usually OSVČ and invoice you directly, so your finance team needs a self-billing arrangement or they will be chasing forty invoices a month. EU-registered publishers invoice under reverse charge. DAC7 changes what you must collect at registration — tax residence, VAT number or IČO, address. A network absorbs some of this; a self-hosted program hands all of it to you, and collecting at sign-up costs nothing while chasing it in January costs a fortnight. What is not included: No paid media, no PR, no creative production beyond the banner set and feed the program needs. Renegotiating rates with partners you already work with is separate work with its own risks. Who this is not for: Companies that need a program live before a trade show in five weeks. Companies whose CFO will judge affiliate on last-click revenue and nothing else — the program will look excellent and quietly cost money. Companies under roughly two million euros in annual online revenue, where the fixed cost of running a program rarely clears.
