Taboola campaign build and management for lead-gen
Native and Content Advertising · Taboola campaign build and management
Taboola built around a CRM-stage conversion event, with three weeks of manual supply blocking before any bid strategy runs.
About this service
The first three weeks of a Taboola account are a blocking exercise, not an optimisation one. Native supply is enormous and most of it converts nothing. By day twenty-one the list of site IDs we have excluded is usually longer than the list still running, and cost per qualified lead has moved further from that work than from any bid change we could have made. We do it by hand, against your CRM, before touching bid strategy.
The conversion event is the whole decision:
Most accounts we inherit optimise to a form submission and then complain the leads are junk. The algorithm did exactly what it was told. We wire a server-side event through Taboola's Realtime Conversions API and fire it further down the funnel — an accepted consultation, a sales-accepted lead, a qualified opportunity — and let the account learn on that. This needs your CRM to be honest about stages, and it needs enough monthly volume for a bid strategy to learn from. Below roughly fifty of those events a month we optimise on a proxy event and say so plainly rather than pretending automated bidding is doing something.
Creative, in the order that matters:
Thumbnail first. The image drives most of the variance in click-through on this network and almost none of the variance in lead quality, which is why a beautiful click-through rate is the most common way a Taboola account fails. We build creative in matched sets so a headline can be judged independently of its image, we keep headlines between forty and sixty characters, and we kill anything whose clicks are excellent and whose post-click behaviour is not. No stock photography with text burned in, no arrows drawn on faces, none of the visual grammar of the arbitrage sites sharing the widget with you. That grammar buys clicks from people who thought they were clicking something else, and they cost you the same as real ones.
Landing:
Native clicks are cold and impatient. Within the first week we will tell you whether your existing page can carry this traffic, and if it cannot, which single change matters most. We do not build pages. If yours needs rebuilding and nobody on your side can do it, this engagement should not start.
The Polish specifics:
Polish supply behaves differently from the American long tail. Spend concentrates fast on a handful of large portals, the auction is thinner, and that makes day-parting and frequency control matter more while blocklisting matters somewhat less. Advocates practising in Poland work under the bar's restrictions on advertising, which is why our legal work on this channel is with legal-tech products and claims businesses rather than with regulated practitioners themselves. We will not accept a mandate that puts a practitioner in front of a disciplinary committee for a few hundred leads, whatever the fee.
Not included:
No media rebate. No arbitrage. No content properties of our own that your budget quietly funds. The account is opened in your name on your billing, you keep the admin role, and you can revoke our access on any day without asking us for an export.
Who this is not for:
Products bought after long considered comparison by a small number of buyers a year. Native display finds volume, not scarcity, and pointing it at a scarce audience wastes a quarter. Brands with strict placement adjacency requirements: this is not the channel where you choose your neighbours. And anyone who wants to be spending by Friday.
