Primary-slot newsletter placements bought direct from operators against verified click history, not subscriber counts.

About this service

Subscriber counts stopped carrying information in September 2021, when Apple Mail Privacy Protection began pre-fetching images and inflating reported opens. On a general-audience list, a third to a half of the opens a publisher quotes you are machines. We buy on one number instead: unique clicks per send, exported by the operator from their own ESP for the last six issues. A title that will not produce that export does not go on the plan, whatever its reach. What we are actually deciding: Which four or five titles out of a longlist deserve a slot, in what order, and at what price. That judgement is the work. A 4,500 euro primary slot in a nine-thousand-subscriber legal operations letter usually beats the same money in a two-hundred-thousand-subscriber marketing letter, and the reason is never size. It is whether the operator writes about buying decisions or about news. We read six months of back issues of every candidate before recommending it, and we name the ones we read and rejected. How we buy: Direct with the person who writes the newsletter. We negotiate position and date, not volume: the primary slot above the first section break, or a dedicated send where the operator sells one. We do not buy classified blocks or the bottom-of-issue stack; they are priced as remnant and they perform like it. In Poland most titles worth buying — the practitioner letters read by in-house counsel, the Polish developer weeklies — have no rate card at all, and the deal is a call in Polish followed by an invoice. That is normal here and we handle it. Creative: We draft the placement in the publisher's own cadence, usually ninety to a hundred and forty words with a single link, and send it to the editor with explicit permission to rewrite it. Editors who rewrite sponsor copy outperform editors who paste it. The offer is named in the first sentence: no curiosity gaps, no "we have been working on something". Measurement: Tagged links per send, plus a free-text "where did you hear about us" field on your form, because a newsletter's real effect arrives as direct traffic three to eleven days after the issue lands and no analytics tool will attribute it. We reconcile the operator's click export against your tagged sessions after every send and flag any gap wider than fifteen per cent, which happens often enough to be worth the check. What is not included: We do not run your ESP, write lifecycle email, or build the landing page the placement points at. If that page is the reason a buy fails, we say so once in writing and then decline the renewal rather than keep spending against it. We take no rebate, commission or referral fee from any publisher or marketplace; you see the operator's invoice at the price we paid. Who should not hire us for this: Anyone who needs something live inside a fortnight — the titles worth buying are booked four to eight weeks out. Anyone selling to consumers below roughly a fifty euro order value, where the arithmetic does not close and we will tell you before you pay. And anyone who wants a spreadsheet of two hundred newsletters with CPMs beside them. That product exists, it costs less than we do, and for some briefs it is the right answer.
