Checkout diagnosis and change plan built on server-side order data, Nordic payment method ordering and PSP decline reasons.

About this service

Most Nordic checkout losses we are asked to investigate are not in the design. They are in payment method order, in delivery choice sitting after payment instead of before it, and in decline codes nobody has opened. On a store doing 900 orders a month at 55 percent checkout completion, detecting a three point absolute improvement takes about five weeks at 80 percent power. So most of this work is deciding rather than testing, and we tell you which is which before the engagement starts. The payment stack: Method ordering by market and device, derived from your own settlement data rather than from a vendor's recommendation deck. Klarna's invoice, instalment and pay-now options do not behave alike and should not be presented as one logo. Swish carries mobile in Sweden, Vipps MobilePay carries Norway, Denmark and Finland, Trustly matters for higher basket values, and card sits differently in each. We look at what each method costs you in fees, in returns behaviour and in support tickets, then order accordingly. If your current order was set by whoever integrated last, expect that to be the first finding. Delivery, which is a checkout problem: Pickup point selection through PostNord, Budbee, Instabox or DHL Service Point, and specifically where the selection map sits relative to the payment step. Shoppers who choose delivery after committing to pay behave differently from those who choose before. Free shipping thresholds belong in the cart where the basket can still change, not only at the final step where the message is an obstacle rather than an incentive. Measurement before claims: We build a server-side view of the funnel first: order created, payment initiated, processor callback, decline reason, settled. Then we reconcile it against GA4, which after consent loss will under-report checkout starts by a margin that varies by market. Until those two agree within a stated tolerance, no rate we quote means anything. This reconciliation is usually the most valuable thing that survives the engagement. What we refuse to do: Trust badge collections, countdown timers, exit-intent overlays, fabricated stock counters and low-stock warnings that are not true. Not only because of the obvious: they show a small gain in a two-week test and cost more in return-visit behaviour than the test window can see. They are frequently the reason we get called in the first place. Platform limits, stated before invoicing: On Shopify without Plus the checkout is not yours to change; extensibility gives you app blocks and little else, and a change plan written against it is a fiction. The same applies to locked B2B commerce platforms and to some marketplace-hosted checkouts. We check your platform in the first call and decline the work if the plan would have nowhere to land. Not included: No processor contract negotiation or fee benchmarking. No development: we write the change plan, your team or your build partner ships it. No replatform advice, no subscription billing design, no tax configuration. Who should not buy this: Stores under roughly 400 orders a month, where nothing can be validated and the honest advice is to ship decided changes and wait. Stores whose real problem is delivery cost or product margin, where a better checkout moves a number that does not fix the business. We would rather say that in the first call than the fourth week.
