Streamed sport and event sponsorship bought on named fixtures, with make-good clauses for abandonment and category exclusivity in the break.

About this service

Live streamed sport does not clear on a bid. A Saturday evening Premier League fixture on a UK rights holder trades at several times the same platform's rate for the same audience watching on demand, and the difference is not inventory quality. It is certainty: the audience is present at a known minute, in a known number, and it cannot be shifted. That means the terms of the deal decide the outcome more than the targeting does, and most brands sign the rights holder's paper with the clauses that matter left out. The clauses we negotiate before we discuss price: Category exclusivity within the break and within the sponsorship billing, defined by a written category list rather than the seller's internal taxonomy, which is where automotive briefs come unstuck when a leasing brand appears alongside them. Make-good language for abandonment, postponement and a fixture moved for broadcast selection, with the replacement inventory named rather than promised as equivalent value. A delivery guarantee written against a stated measurement source, with the shortfall remedy in the contract rather than in an email. Clearance timing, because where a stream simulcasts a licensed UK broadcast the copy goes through Clearcast and that queue does not care about your campaign dates. And rights windows on any footage you intend to use, since the stream sponsorship and the social cut-down are frequently two separate licences. The latency problem nobody puts in the deck: OTT streams typically run 30 to 45 seconds behind the broadcast feed and behind the social conversation. Any plan that promises live-reactive creative has to survive that gap plus your own approval chain, and in practice it does not. We cut that promise out of the plan at the start rather than watching it fail on the night. What does work is pre-built conditional creative with the decision points agreed in advance and one nominated approver reachable during the fixture. Where we buy: UK first, because that is where our relationships are: Sky Media, ITVX, Channel 4, DAZN, Amazon's live rights and the FAST simulcasts. Twitch and YouTube live where the brief is genuinely gaming-adjacent rather than because somebody wants to reach a younger audience in a slide. We hold no rebate arrangement with any of them and will show you the rate card conversation if you ask. What we refuse: We do not buy live through open exchange, because the thing you are paying for is the guarantee and open exchange does not carry one. We do not do creator or talent deals, in-stream reads or streamer endorsement; that is a separate discipline with separate legal exposure and we will introduce you to people who do it properly. We do not sign a season sponsorship without a named fixture list and a stated minimum share of matchweeks; season packages sold on aggregate audience routinely deliver their volume through fixtures nobody watches. And we do not accept added-value inventory in place of a shortfall remedy. Not for you if: You need the sponsorship to produce a measurable direct response inside the flight. It will not, reliably, and we would rather say that before you sign than explain it in a wash-up. Live sponsorship buys presence at a moment your audience is paying full attention with other people in the room. If the objective is last-click performance, the same money spent elsewhere in streaming will outperform it and we will tell you where.

What the seller needs from you

  1. 1Which properties, fixtures or events are in scope, and is there a rights window already committed elsewhere in the business?
  2. 2What is the category exclusivity you need, written as a list of competitor names and adjacent categories?
  3. 3What budget is committed, and over which fixtures or dates?
  4. 4Who is your clearance route for broadcast-linked copy, and is there existing Clearcast history for this brand?
  5. 5Is there an approver reachable during the fixture window for conditional creative?

Asked at checkout. Delivery time starts once you answer, not when you pay.
