Studio product photography for paid feeds, Shopping and marketplace listings, proofed against your physical sample rather than a hex code.
About this service
The test a product frame has to pass is legibility at 320 pixels wide, on a phone, at arm's length, in about half a second. Everything else in the shoot is decided by that: one hero angle, the product holding 70 to 85 percent of the frame, a single dominant light direction, and colour that survives the platform's own recompression. We shoot to that test rather than to a mood board.
What we shoot:
Packshots, cutouts and detail frames for products that have to sell inside a feed, a Shopping unit or a marketplace listing rather than inside a catalogue. Small goods, hardware, packaged consumer products, boxed kit and device bundles. Everything is captured tethered in Capture One with a reference frame at the head of each setup, and macro work is focus stacked so the front face and the back edge of a 40mm object are both resolved. For specular surfaces, powder-coated metal, gloss cartons, screens, we build the reflection deliberately with scrims and flags rather than removing it afterwards, because a retouched highlight reads as fake at thumbnail size even when it looks correct at 100 percent.
Colour, and why we measure it:
We proof against the physical sample, not against a hex value from your brand book. Hero SKUs are measured with a spectrophotometer and graded until Delta E 2000 sits under 2.0 against the object in hand. That number is the reason we ask you to ship product rather than send a previous supplier's files. Where a brand colour cannot be reproduced inside sRGB, most saturated oranges and some cyans, we tell you which one it is and what it will actually look like on a phone, before the shoot rather than after.
Formats you receive:
16-bit TIFF masters, layered PSD with clipping paths, sRGB JPEG and WebP exports, transparent PNG cutouts. Crops are delivered at 1:1, 4:5 and 9:16, framed at capture with the top and bottom interface bands of Reels and TikTok left clear, so no vertical file is a centre punch of a square one. Marketplace variants follow the destination's own rules: pure white background and 85 percent frame fill where Amazon requires it, no promotional text or overlay on anything headed for a Merchant Center primary slot. Files are named to your product feed identifier so ingest does not need a manual mapping step.
What is not included:
No CGI or 3D renders. No model or hand work; that belongs in the lifestyle shoot and it wants a different room and a different crew. No retouching that changes the colour, texture or proportion of what arrives in the customer's box. A return costs more than a reshoot, and the frame that caused it is the one we should have refused to make. No catalogue backfill priced per SKU. We do not retouch third-party files we did not shoot.
Who this is not for:
Anyone who needs several hundred SKUs photographed against a deadline at unit cost. That is a volume studio's work, several of them do it well, and we will name one rather than pretend the brief fits here. It is also not for a launch where the product is still at prototype stage and the finish will change between now and production. We shoot the thing that ships.
How it runs:
A pre-production call fixes the SKU list and the single claim each frame has to carry. Product arrives at the studio at least four working days ahead. You get contact sheets the evening of the shoot day and can call extra angles then, which costs a fraction of calling them in retouch three weeks later.
