Location lifestyle shoots with casting, permits and the rights term quoted as separate lines before you commit to a shoot day.

About this service

Between 35 and 50 percent of a lifestyle shoot budget is not the shoot. Talent buyout, location fee, permits and insurance carry that share, and we quote each as its own line before you commit to a date. The job we are most often called in to fix is a library a brand can no longer legally run, because a previous supplier folded a 12-month UK buyout into a day rate and nobody wrote down when it expired. Casting and rights: We cast against the objection, not the demographic. If the claim is that a developer tool is usable in an afternoon, the person in frame has to be someone the buyer would accept as a peer, and that constrains casting far more usefully than an age bracket ever does. Talent is engaged on UK rates with the term, territory and media set named in the release: typically 12 months, UK and EU, paid social and owned channels, with digital display priced separately. Renewal pricing is fixed at signature so year two is not a negotiation from a weak position. We do not sell perpetual worldwide buyouts as a default, because you pay for rights you will not use and it makes the day look more expensive than it is. Locations: Real places, with the property release attached. Public land in central London needs a film permit and the lead time runs around ten working days, which is why the location decision is made before casting rather than after. We scout London and the South East as a matter of course and we will travel, but a location three hours out has to earn the travel day in the frames it produces, and usually it does not. Where a scene needs a home, we shoot in a home rather than a set dressed to look like one. The difference shows in ceiling height and light, and viewers read it without being able to name it. What a day produces: A shot list built as one scene per claim, so every setup answers a question a buyer is actually asking. Two bodies run through the day: 9:16 framed in camera for Reels, TikTok and Stories, and 4:5 for feed, so neither format is a crop of the other. Burst sequences give short motion loops usable as opening frames. You receive graded selects, the full contact sheet, and the release paperwork as one archive. What is not included: No packshots or cutouts. That is the product photography service. No hair and makeup unless the scene calls for it, in which case it is a quoted line rather than an assumption. No stylist-sourced props the customer cannot buy. No compositing people into scenes they were never in. Who this is not for: Brands who want the creator look produced at agency scale. Professional talent in a rented flat performing spontaneity photographs as exactly that, and audiences on TikTok in particular have been trained to spot it in a frame or two. If the brief is genuinely creator-led, the right answer is to pay creators and licence what they make. We will say so and step back rather than take the day and hand you something that tests badly for a reason nobody can articulate. How it runs: Pre-production is two calls and one document: the claim per scene, the casting brief, the location shortlist, and the rights term you are actually buying. Wardrobe and props are confirmed a week ahead. On the day the client is welcome on set, and the decision that matters, which frame carries the claim, is made in front of you rather than in a selects gallery a fortnight later. Selects land within three working days, graded files within ten.

What the seller needs from you

  1. 1What claim does each scene have to make, and who is the person who currently doubts it?
  2. 2Which territories, channels and term do you actually need the images for?
  3. 3Do you have existing talent, ambassadors or spaces we should use?
  4. 4When does the campaign go live, and what is fixed about that date?
