Drafts built on a 20-minute interview, your own data and a settled position, written by somebody who has published in your category.

About this service

A finished draft of 1,800 to 2,600 words takes eleven working days, and three of those happen before any writing: reading your onboarding flow, a quarter of your support tickets, and the two or three arguments your category actually has. Skipping that is why most agency writing reads interchangeably, and it is the part clients are most surprised to be paying for. Who drafts: The person writing your article has published in your category under their own name and can show pages that still hold position after eighteen months. Health and finance work goes to a writer who spent four years inside a regulated Canadian insurer, which mostly means she knows which sentence the compliance reviewer will strike and writes the defensible version first. Software drafts come from someone who was a product marketer before he was a writer, and he will argue with your positioning when the positioning is what is wrong. Reporting, not paraphrase: Every draft carries at least one thing that cannot be found in the results it is competing with: a number out of your own analytics, a quote from a 20-minute interview with someone on your team, a screenshot of the thing being described, or a small test we ran ourselves. We schedule the interview and you approve who we speak to. If nobody at your company can give 20 minutes, tell us before we start — we will price for it, but the draft will be weaker and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What you receive: The draft in Google Docs with comments showing where each claim came from. A title and meta description written as a pair rather than an afterthought. Subheads phrased as the questions people type, because that is the shape an answer engine lifts. Suggested internal links with the anchor text spelled out. Image direction specific enough for a designer to work from, not a note saying add a hero image. Sourcing notes on anything a reviewer might challenge. French drafts are written in French by a writer in Quebec, not translated out of English. Where we push back: We will tell you when the article you asked for is really three articles, or none. We have declined work where a publisher with a decade of authority owned the answer and the honest recommendation was to buy that traffic instead. We also decline to compare a competitor unfairly, and we will not place product mentions where a reader would stop trusting the page — that trust is the mechanism you are buying, and hollowing it out defeats the purchase. Not included: No publishing or formatting inside WordPress, Webflow or your headless setup. No image production. No outreach of any kind. No rescue edits of drafts written elsewhere; fixing weak material costs more than starting again and produces less. And no filling a slot for its own sake — if a month has nothing worth publishing we would rather skip it and say why. Not a fit if: You need the draft next week with no interview. You measure writing by cost per word. Your approval chain has more than three people with a veto and nobody with a decision. Or the strategy is still open: we write well from a decided position and poorly from a debate, so settle it first, with us or without us. How the engagement runs: Most clients end up on the monthly arrangement, because the fourth article is better than the first for reasons that have nothing to do with effort — by then we know your product, your reviewers and your reader, and the pre-work shortens. A single article is available and worth buying if you want to see the work before committing to anything. Two rounds of revision on structure and substance are included. Line-level preference edits are yours to make, which is exactly why we hand over an editable file rather than a PDF. One thing about measurement, since it usually comes up. We report on what the page did — position, the queries it picked up, assisted conversions if your analytics can attribute them — and we will tell you when a flat result is our fault versus a site-level problem no draft was going to fix. That second conversation is the more useful one and we do not avoid it.
