Ad Creative Production · Sound logo / audio branding

A 1.2 to 2.5 second mnemonic delivered per destination loudness spec, with rights assigned and a recognition test before the master.

About this service

A sound logo earns nothing in a feed. Feed video autoplays muted and stays muted through most of its impressions, so the asset repays only where audio starts by default: connected TV, YouTube pre-roll, Spotify audio, podcast host reads, retail and events. If none of those sit in your plan, the honest answer is that you do not need this yet, and I would rather say it here than in week two. Where they do, the target is between 1.2 and 2.5 seconds, three to five notes, with one interval carrying the identification and everything else supporting it. Delivered as a system, not a file: The full mnemonic. A shortened cut for six-second bumpers, where a 2.5-second logo swallows the message. A single-note stinger for transitions and end cards. Instrumental beds at thirty, fifteen and six seconds that resolve into the mnemonic rather than fading beneath it. And a specified sync point against the visual logo build, so an editor assembling a cut late in the day is following an instruction instead of improvising one. Masters and specifications: WAV at 48 kHz and 24-bit, with stems, because a mix nobody can pull apart is a mix that gets rebuilt badly in three years. Loudness delivered per destination rather than once: minus 14 LUFS integrated with a minus 1 dBTP ceiling for streaming platforms that normalise to that figure, minus 16 LUFS for podcast, and an EBU R128 master at minus 23 LUFS integrated for European broadcast and connected TV. Every version checked in mono fold-down and through a 300 Hz high-pass, which approximates what a phone speaker and an in-store system leave you with. A mnemonic that works only on studio monitors works nowhere. Rights, in writing: Composed originally, without third-party sample libraries, so nothing inside it carries a sync restriction that resurfaces when you enter a new market. Delivered with a written assignment of economic rights under Italian law 633 of 1941, worldwide and perpetual, all media. If you intend to register the work with SIAE, that decision changes how broadcast use is cleared and it gets made before the recording session rather than after. It is the single most common thing that goes wrong on Italian audio branding projects. Validation: Not a boardroom vote. A forced-choice recognition test with around a hundred respondents in your market after three exposures, run against two or three candidate directions plus a distractor. The test is designed to be losable: a direction everyone likes and nobody recognises is the failure this catches, and it catches it before the master is paid for. Not included: No sung jingle and no lyrics. A sung line ties the asset to one language and one decade, and it is the first thing to break when you localise. No music supervision and no licensing of existing tracks. No voice casting — I write the brief and direct the read, you cast and pay talent, because usage terms for a voice are a rights conversation you should own directly. No podcast media buying, no ongoing audio production. Wrong fit: Brands running only search and feed. Companies expecting recall within a quarter: audio mnemonics repay across years of unchanged use, and the first honest read is a tracking wave twelve months in. And organisations unable to commit to using one asset unchanged for at least three years, since the value is entirely in repetition and a sound logo revised annually is a sequence of expenses that never compounds.
