Field-measured INP and LCP work on Shopify Plus, Magento and Next.js storefronts, delivered as pull requests against your branch.

About this service

Almost every INP failure I am called into resolves to fewer than ten event handlers, and on a Shopify Plus or Magento 2 storefront six of them usually belong to tags marketing added through GTM without an engineer reading them. The number that decides the work is the 75th percentile of field INP by template and by device class. Not a Lighthouse score. The engagement starts by getting that number honestly. How the diagnosis runs: I install the web-vitals attribution build if you do not already have it, and collect INP, LCP and CLS with the interaction target, the event type, the longest script and the animation frames around it. Twenty-eight days of production traffic on a mid-size catalogue separates a real regression from noise. A low-traffic B2B logistics site takes longer and I will tell you that before you pay rather than after. In parallel I read your CrUX history month by month so we know when the regression entered, then map that date against your deploy log. A vitals problem with a deploy date attached is an engineering ticket. Without one it is an argument. What I actually change: Handler work: splitting long tasks with scheduler.yield(), moving analytics dispatch out of the click path, removing synchronous storage reads inside cart handlers, replacing scroll-linked JavaScript with CSS. Rendering work: cutting hydration cost on product listing pages, deferring what sits below the fold, and breaking the render-blocking font and stylesheet chain that costs LCP. Tag work: I go through every container and tell you which tags to drop, which belong server-side, and what each one costs in milliseconds at p75. That is the hardest conversation of the engagement and the one that pays for it. Fashion catalogues have a particular version of this: image-heavy listing pages with colour-swatch filters that re-render the whole grid on every tap. Grocery and food sites have another: quantity steppers that call a cart API on each press. I have fixed both more than once, and the fixes are not the same fix. What arrives: Pull requests against your branch, each scoped to a single measurable interaction, with before and after field numbers once the release has been live long enough to read. A dashboard would be faster to produce and useless to act on. Not included: Image pipeline and asset work beyond what LCP requires. Server or database tuning: if TTFB is the binding constraint I will say so in week one and hand it to your infrastructure team instead of pretending it is mine. Redesigns. Anything about rankings, since vitals are a quality signal and not a dial you turn for traffic. Who this is wrong for: Teams whose front end is a locked page builder with no code access. Anyone who wants the score green for a board slide. Sites below roughly twenty thousand monthly visits, where field data will never reach usefulness and you would be paying me to guess in public. What I will not promise: That fixing INP moves traffic. It reliably moves completion rate on mobile checkout flows, and I have seen it move nothing at all where the constraint was somewhere else entirely. I will show you interaction latency before and after, and I will not attribute revenue I cannot prove.

What the seller needs from you

  1. 1Which platform and front-end stack does the storefront run on, and do you have a repository we can open pull requests against?
  2. 2Do you already collect field performance data, and if so with what?
  3. 3Roughly how many monthly visits does the site get, split mobile and desktop?
  4. 4Who owns your tag manager, and can tags be removed without a separate approval cycle?
  5. 5Which interactions matter commercially, in your own words?

Asked at checkout. Delivery time starts once you answer, not when you pay.
