Carrier registration, consent architecture and six journeys in Attentive or Postscript, built to survive an audit of where every subscriber came from.

About this service

Attentive and Postscript both send. The decision that actually matters is where the consent record lives afterwards, and in a Postscript programme it lives against Shopify's customer object. That is the right answer when Shopify is your system of record and the wrong answer when it is not. We start there rather than with a feature comparison, and on about a third of enquiries the honest recommendation is the platform the client did not name. Carrier registration, weeks one and two: Brand registration through The Campaign Registry, use case selection, and external vetting. An unvetted 10DLC brand sits in the lowest daily throughput tier the carriers offer, and external vetting moves it up by roughly an order of magnitude. It takes days, sometimes longer. We file before creative exists, because a peak-season send that cannot clear the carrier inside an hour is a merchandising failure nobody notices until the second week of December. Toll-free and short code are separate decisions with separate lead times and separate economics, and we will tell you which one your send pattern needs rather than defaulting to the one the platform prefers. Consent architecture, week three: Every entry point gets written disclosure text, a defined checkbox state, a confirmation message, and a stored field recording which entry point produced each subscriber. Checkout, popup, keyword, back-in-stock and post-purchase are five different grants carrying five different reasonable expectations, and we do not flatten them into one list. Quiet hours are enforced against the subscriber's own timezone, derived from the number and the shipping address, not the account timezone. STOP, HELP and the full reply matrix are tested per carrier before anything launches. Journeys, weeks four to six: Six journeys go live and no more. Welcome delivering exactly what the disclosure promised, browse abandonment, cart, post-purchase check-in, replenishment or re-book, and win-back. Each carries an entry rule, an exit rule and a suppression rule against the email programme, because a subscriber on both channels receiving the same message twice inside an hour is a churn event. We sequence the two channels rather than deduplicating after the fact. For travel clients the re-book journey keys to trip end date rather than purchase date, which changes the timing model, the offer and the copy. What we do not do: Offer strategy. Bring the promotional calendar or bring the merchandiser to kickoff. The ongoing campaign calendar, unless you take the retainer separately. Migration of an existing subscriber file from another platform without its original consent records; where those records are gone, that file restarts at zero and we say so on the first call rather than the last. We will decline: Any list from a co-registration partner or a data broker. Any programme built on a pre-ticked checkout box. Any request to push US-style promotional SMS at EU numbers under the same programme, which is a different consent regime and usually a different channel entirely. In that case we will tell you to use WhatsApp or email rather than pretend one programme covers both continents. Who this is not for: Brands below roughly two million euro in annual revenue, where carrier fees and the platform floor consume what the channel produces. Teams who want SMS because a competitor has it. Anyone whose email programme is currently mailing a purchased file, because the instinct that produced that will destroy an SMS file faster and with a regulator attached to the outcome.

  1. 1What is your current platform stack: ecommerce, ESP, CDP and loyalty?
  2. 2Screenshots of every place a phone number is currently collected, including the disclosure text shown.
  3. 3If you have an existing SMS file, can you export subscriber, entry point, disclosure text and consent timestamp?
  4. 4Which US states and which carriers dominate your customer base?
  5. 5Who owns the promotional calendar internally and how far ahead is it set?

Asked at checkout. Delivery time starts once you answer, not when you pay.
